Park Stickney is the world’s foremost jazz harpist. He won his first award for playing jazz harp at age 10, and hasn’t stopped collecting accolades since. He has taught and performed at the Umbria Jazz Festival in conjunction with the Berklee College of Music, the Edinburg Harp Festival, the Edinburg Jazz and Blues Festival, the Edinburg Fringe Festival, (Scotland), the Soka Harp Festival in Japan, the Festival de Harpe in France, the Caribbean Harp Festival, and many others.
He has toured Hong Kong, India, Sri Lanka, Italy, Switzerland, England, Germany, Albania, Spain, the USA, and other exotic locales as a soloist and in combos. He holds degrees from the University of Arizona (Bachelor of Music), and the Juilliard School (Professional Studies, and Masters of Music). He has recorded five CDs, and teaches at the Lausanne Conservatoire and Music Hochschule of Luzern (Switzerland), is visiting Professor of Jazz Harp at the Royal Academy of Music in London, and is an assistant at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Lyon (France).
